No offense taken. Awesome Girl is being smug. When you’re a 6 foot tall super strong flying amazon, it’s hard to not have it go to your head a little.
On the other hand, AG has been handed the task of rehabilitating a hard core supervillian and may feel it necessary to present a certain air of superiority to keep her in line. We will see how that works out…
Latex Scorpion is looking at 20 more years of prison(at least) and is already having to fight off rapists in the showers.
She’s being offered a pretty good deal, really. She just doesn’t see it that way.
curiouse to see what the rookie heroes look like, what sort of training will they be put through.
was scorpion Robyns first choice or did she have to go through many wardrobe changes till she found her super heroe identity ?
Remember, we’re seeing Awesome Girl from Robyn’s perspective. AG is dealing with a super villain with a bad attitude(remember Robyn’s tirade against AG and her team on the last page). Just as Latex Scorpion doesn’t like heroes, AG has been fight crime for years and isn’t very fond of villains either. Let’s just say that if AG were trying to recruit another hero, she would be handling things very differently.
There were other potential candidates, but Robyn was their first pick for a couple of reasons:
1. According to the psych tests, Latex Scorpion isn’t a psycho who gets off on hurting people. This makes the chances of rehabilitating her higher, and the Justice Buddies need the first candidate to be a success story, if Operation: New Leaf is to continue.
2. LS doesn’t have superpowers, making it easier to manage her if she misbehaves.
No offense, JohnSR, but AG sure comes off as … smug.

Who’s the head of the Justice Buddies legal dept., Faust?
I doubt it. Original Faust wasn’t that hot at making deals; he signed for a really bad one.

Looks like there’s really no way out for Latex Scorpion & reforming a Super-Villian isn’t exactly a walk in the park.
Awesome Girl may have her hands full with Latex Scorpion. We will see…

We will be meeting some of the rookie heroes in future stories!
Latex Scorpion was Robyn’s first choice(Robyn knew pretty early in life what she wanted to be. That wasn’t necessarily a good thing, though.) 😉
Yeeh….I don’t say this often about attractive, buxom women, but Awesome Girl’s likeability as a character is already tanking for me.
On a side note, AG’s words here make me question why Robyn was chosen in the first place. I mean, there must have been other candidates, right ?
Well, looks and personality definitely aren’t the same thing.
Maybe AG picked Ms. Shade ’cause she thinks she’s hot…?
Actually, AG didn’t volunteer for this job and she had no input on who the candidates were.
(Which also may have a little something to do with her demeanor as well…)

She should get a document that says “Not a psychopath”might be useful
It would probably make her life a lot easier!
