No worries, Brenda doesn’t have a jersey accent. Actually, aside from the obvious similarities(appearance, both psychos with twisted sense of humor) Brenda will also differ from Harley in a lot of ways as well(though I don’t want to give away any spoilers right now). In some ways she’s a darker and more twisted character if such a thing is possible!
I’m glad you like Nora the Adventurer too. After all, a sexy superheroine comic is no place for kids! 😉
Borderline Brenda doesn’t have a particularly distinctive accent(unless crazy talk counts as an accent!).
Where she comes from is a mystery, but we will be learning more about her in future stories!
I don’t think anyone sane or older than a toddler would care about the dinosaur, but it’d be a shame if Nora the explorer was shot.
But, Brenda? Television companies tend to cut the feed in these situations. You’re talking to dead air … and the amassed forces of the police, of course.
Actually, Borderline Brenda is broadcasting live. She threatened to kill one of the hostages right on the spot if the producers cut the feed. Brenda also has other means of getting the producers to comply with her demands as well, but more on that later… 😉
In that case, I hope the parents and other caretakers had the good sense to change the channel, switch off their set, or at least send the kids to their room… >_<;
Ok it’s obvious that you modeled Borderline Brenda after Harley Quinn & the firearms which her henchmen are holding look as if they are designed completely different from the characters & background.
Brenda is indeed modeled after Harley Quinn(and a few other characters/tropes as well). Brenda also differs from Harley in a lot of ways too(as we will see as the story goes on).
The weapons are designed differently. Shortcuts like that allow me to work faster and produce the comic on time! 😀
Re: the vote incentive…
Umm. Yikes? That uh, that looks a lot like abuse of authority, there. And shouldn’t the stronger of the two be the reindeer? ^^;
I’m liking this strip! After all, what’s not to like? Excellent art, interesting concept, clever plot line and dialogue and … Ahem … voluptuous women. You have a bookmark on my ‘puter. Good luck with it.
I just noticed that the mook between Baloney (I’m saying his name wrong on purpose and hope you the reference) and Nora has a shotgun with an orange tip on like it’s a toy gun. Is this one of those fake outs cause Brenda is Borderline, or the real deal disguised as a fake to lower a person’s guard?
The gun is quite real. Allowing people to think it’s a fake gun only for them to find out too late that it’s real certainly appeals to Brenda’s twisted sense of humor!
And yes, I get the Baloney reference.
Well done.
Very well done indeed! 😀
To be honest, I absolutely HATE Harley Quinn, but this expy of her seems ok. No obnoxious stereotypical NY/NJ accent and I can’t her voice anyways.
The aged up, racebent Dora the explorer is a W too.
She looks like a cross between Harley and Spinel to me.
While Harley was definitely an influence, I hadn’t thought about Spinel, but you’re right, they do look pretty close don’t they?

Sooo, what kinda accent does she have, please tell me she’s from Boston????

But in a situation like this an aberrant TV exec might be tempted to keep ’em on the air, because like sex, violence is a real attention getter.
They might, but they’d have a hell of a job keeping theirs afterwards.
Very true! Although in this case the producers didn’t have much choice. Brenda threatened to start killing hostages if they cut the live feed.

Maybe they should go outside and play. I’ve heard good things about fresh air and sunlight…

Half the fun of being the stronger of the two, is that you can make the weaker one be the reindeer! 😉

This is the second worst thing that got dropped on a costumed kids entertainer.
Just behind this. https://youtu.be/HnaiZALS2nY?t=158
Ha, Behind….
LOL! I see what you did there. 😀 😀 😀
I miss that show.
This sounds like a brilliant great idea!!
What could possibly go wrong? 😀
