This is off topic, but do you think if Ralph Bashki had managed to make Spicy City more popular, western adult animation would be a lot more varied now, then the current oversaturation of South Park’s and other crude irreverent, meta based comedy, shows?
That IS an interesting question. Sadly, as much as I like Bashki and his work(I actually watched some of the Spicy City episodes when they came out and loved them), I suspect not much would have changed even if Spicy City had been a big hit.
The problem is, South Park, Bob’s Burgers, Family Guy, etc. are so cheap to produce that even if they don’t gain much of an audience, the channel showing them will still make a profit on advertising.
It also doesn’t help that the entertainment industry always seems determined to push their least creative ideas under the illusion that they’re “safe”.
Just my opinion, of course. I could be wrong about it.
Either way, I wouldn’t complain if we had a few more Spicy Cities and a few less South parks these days.
I get the feeling that this is an elaborate con job about to go horribly sideways.
While it may be a little too early to tell exactly where things are going, assuming things will go sideways is probably a good bet.
I smell a rat.
I dunno, everything seems pretty above board to me…
A citizen?! Something dangerous is in the hands of a citizen… I wonder what it is? A… aphrodisiac brainwash spray?
Aphrodisiac brainwash spray is dangerous in anybody’s hands!
Gotta be an imposter.
That’s an interesting possibility.
Whatever is happening, something strange does seem to be going on…
Thunder Bunny and Awesome Girl lowkey look they could be like sisters or cousins.
Good point! They do have a lot in common appearance-wise.
