Before, she used armies and magic to conquer nations. Now, just the look of her could drive people so mad with desire they’d surrender.
She targeted two brothers who owned a fortune in gems. One was too clever to face her, but the other she used, squeezed dry and then discarded, leading him to commit suicide. The other brother got his revenge by creating and gifting her a magic mirror that reflected her perfectly and claimed to love her. Drawn in by her own beauty and the fact she had many slaves but no love in her life, the empress embraced her own image, and they were together consumed in a magical eruption.
I’ll have to check out Tanith Lee’s work because that’s a really interesting story. It reads almost like a Grimms’s fairy tale for adults. An intriguing premise and a very clever ending! More clever than what I have in mind for my story, but hey, I’ve never claimed that Sharona was high concept fantasy! LOL!
I thought that was an insult but never thought it was a S&M nickname? Also… for the S&M Mistress, I thought the privacy between clint and host was sacred & secrecy. Also for Sharona, hope she can handle herself, literally.
